At first, I thought this book was going to center around a straightforward kidnapping and the hunt to find the missing women. I saw the beautiful cover all over my TikTok and Instagram feeds and finally snagged it on my Kindle, expecting a tense procedural-style mystery.
What I got instead was something far more layered — and far more gripping. Don't worry no book spoilers here.
